Travel Nurse RN - Labor & Delivery - $4,087 per week in Anchorage, AK

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 or 26 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year preferred License: Active Registered Nurse license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced, NRPS Must-Have: Charge experience preferred or willingness to train in charge role Description: Must have an active Registered Nurse license for immediate offer. Position involves working in a High Risk Labor and Delivery unit. Work involves assisting with labor and delivery procedures and patient care. Average daily deliveries are around 7 but can reach up to 14 patients. Triage unit handles several third trimester testing patients daily. The unit consists of multiple OB Triage rooms, delivery rooms, OR suites, and PACU rooms. Responsibilities include administering medications, conducting assessments, and providing support during labor and delivery. Required skills include management of high-risk deliveries and assistance with cesarean sections. Candidates should be prepared to float to similar units as needed. Rotating weekend duties are part of the job, working every other weekend. All time-off requests will be approved on an individual basis. Candidates must be willing to work during major holidays. This unit offers support from various interdisciplinary teams. Key patient diagnoses include high risk antepartum cases. Clinical experience should include use of specific charting systems. Candidates should be comfortable with standard labor and delivery procedures.
