Labor and Delivery RN Needed - Scheduling: -3/12s - -Every Other Weekend -On call - No -Floating: Yes, to Antepartum Required Certifications: CA RN LICENSE FHM BLS ACLS NRP Intermediate Fetal Monitoring- AWHONN Experience: -2+ years Experience -Travel Experience Required JOB DUTIES: Applying the principles of the nursing process and working within the policies/procedures of the Patient Care Services Department and the Medical Center, the staff nurse is a registered nurse (RN) who, as the patient's primary nurse, is responsible and accountable for: * The overall management of the nursing care provided, assuring competent, compassionate and cost­-effective patient care from admission to discharge; * Assuring the safety, comfort, personal hygiene and protection of patients and performing disease prevention and restorative measures; * Responding to medical and environmental emergencies" Additional Role Expectations: Provide safe, patient-centered care to laboring patients, postpartum patients, and/or newborns according to the assigned unit's needs. Monitor patient status, recognize changes promptly, and communicate concerns to the care team. Candidates should be prepared to collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, maintain professional communication, and follow all applicable patient-safety, infection-prevention, and documentation standards.
