Key Responsibilities
Provide high-risk perinatal care within a Level III unit encompassing labor and delivery, antepartum, postpartum, triage, and OR settings
Manage labor patients at a 1:1 ratio, couplets at 1:3 in postpartum with CNA support, and antepartum patients at a 1:2–3 ratio
Perform sterile vaginal exams (SVE) as required for patient assessment and care planning
Float to postpartum as needed to support unit staffing and continuity of care
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including delivering providers, CRNAs, surgical techs, CNAs, and health unit coordinators available 24/7
Document all patient care accurately using the EPIC electronic health record system
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
Current BCLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring or Relias Fetal Monitoring certification required
Demonstrated ability to perform sterile vaginal exams (SVE) — hard stop requirement
Availability to work weekends and commit to 3 of 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience in a facility managing 200 or more deliveries per month
Candidates with experience in facilities handling 100–200 deliveries will be considered on a case-by-case basis
Prior experience in high-risk perinatal or Level III perinatal settings
