Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring patients 28 weeks and over, including those on magnesium, Pitocin, and TOLACs, within a 7-bed LDR unit with triage and dedicated cesarean section ORs
Circulate cesarean section procedures as required
Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments, develop and implement individualized plans of care, and evaluate nursing interventions for maternal and neonatal patients
Perform electronic fetal monitoring, vaginal exams, and provide resuscitation and stabilization of the mother/fetal dyad
Float to mother-baby unit as needed and adhere to AWHONN staffing standards
Document patient care using Epic and Centricity Perinatal electronic health record systems
Required Qualifications
Current RN license in the state of Virginia or valid compact license
Must pass EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) competency exam during orientation
Ability to circulate a cesarean section
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience with Epic Electronic Health Record system
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
Electronic Fetal Monitoring Certification or Inpatient OB Certification through the National Certification Corporation
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
