Contract | Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to low and high-risk labor and delivery patients within a Family Birth Center setting, including postpartum couplets and operative cases
• Utilize Cerner EMR and Fetal Link surveillance system for fetal heart monitoring and patient documentation
• Adhere to California nurse-to-patient ratios (1:4 antepartum/postpartum, 1:1 active labor)
• Participate in weekend shift rotation (3 weekends per 4-week schedule) and integrate into the permanent staff holiday rotation
• Float to Pediatrics (postpartum couplets) and NICU (feeders and growers, based on prior experience) as needed
• Complete a proctored, pass/fail Dysrhythmia Test on the first day of assignment

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Advanced AWHONN certifications
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR and fetal monitoring systems
• Ability to pass an onsite proctored Dysrhythmia Test on day one of assignment
• Experience with both low and high-risk labor and delivery patient populations

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience circulating in an obstetric OR setting
• Prior NICU experience with feeders and growers
• Familiarity with Phillips fetal heart monitoring systems
