Coordinate and provide high-quality, compassionate patient care utilizing the nursing process and unit-specific standards of practice
Develop, implement, and continually reassess individualized patient plans of care, including physical, psychological, social, and rehabilitative needs
Administer medications and perform nursing procedures and treatments while accurately documenting care, assessments, interventions, and patient responses
Conduct holistic ongoing patient assessments and evaluate discharge plans for appropriateness, educational needs, and necessary changes
Educate patients, families, and significant others on relevant health information in a timely manner
Communicate and collaborate with all members of the healthcare team; delegate appropriately to non-licensed assistive personnel and may float in unit rotation including as a sitter
Required Qualifications
Active Washington State RN licensure or Compact RN licensure
Active BLS certification
Active NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
Active FHM (Fetal Heart Monitoring) certification
Ability to function consistently within the guidelines of the Washington Nurse Practice Act and unit-specific standards of practice
Preferred Experience / Skills
Prior experience in a Labor & Delivery setting
Familiarity with evidence-based perinatal nursing workflows and procedures
