Registered Nurse - LDRP Float Pool
Job Summary
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to join a dynamic Float Pool, providing essential staffing support across multiple facilities in Corvallis, Albany, and Lebanon, Oregon. This role focuses on comprehensive care for mothers and newborns within Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) units.
The ideal candidate will be highly adaptable and comfortable working in diverse clinical environments, with assignments potentially shifting between primary sites. This position requires a commitment to patient-centered care and the flexibility to travel to various locations as needed to meet staffing demands.
Key Responsibilities
Provide expert nursing care for patients throughout the labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum phases.
Manage labor progression, assist with deliveries, and perform continuous fetal monitoring.
Deliver comprehensive postpartum care to mothers and specialized care for newborns.
Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
Float to various hospital units and facilities within the Corvallis, Albany, and Lebanon network as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of two (2) years of recent, direct experience in Labor & Delivery, including labor management, delivery care, fetal monitoring, and postpartum care of mother and newborn.
High School Diploma or equivalent (required due to College of American Pathologists (CAP) requirements for moderate complexity testing).
Proficiency with Epic electronic health record system.
Ability to travel and utilize a personal automobile for assignments across multiple points of care in Corvallis, Albany, and Lebanon, Oregon.
Preferred Qualifications
Fetal Monitoring Certification.
STABLE Certification.
Skills & Competencies
Clinical Skills: Advanced knowledge and proficiency in labor management, delivery assistance, continuous fetal monitoring, postpartum care, and newborn assessment/care.
Technical Skills: Competent in utilizing electronic health record systems (Epic).
Soft Skills: Exceptional adaptability, strong critical thinking, effective communication, problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative team-oriented approach.

Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Oregon.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Healthcare Provider level.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification, AHA.
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
