Job Description

Northside Hospital Duluth is seeking an experienced Med Surg RN to join its fast-paced Acute Surgical Unit. The unit manages a high patient turnover, typically discharging 8–15 patients daily while admitting approximately the same number.

Patients may be admitted from the Emergency Department (ED), PACU, or through direct admission. An ADT (Admission, Discharge, Transfer) nurse is available to help support patient flow and coordination.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in the specialty
• AHA BLS required
• ACLS preferred
• Cerner experience preferred
• Must be willing to work in a fast-paced environment
• No local candidates within 50 miles

Holiday Requirements

Travel RNs must work:

• 2 of the 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day
• Plus 1 minor holiday: Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve

Note: This is a fast-paced Med Surg/Acute Surgical Unit with high daily patient turnover. Candidates should have strong acute-care experience, be adaptable, and be comfortable managing a busy patient flow. Local candidates within 50 miles are not eligible.
