Alliance Services, Inc. is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Wausau, Wisconsin.
Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $2304
$500 CONTRACT COMPLETION BONUS
Opportunity:
RN - MedSurg
Job Details:
• 13-week contract with 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 12-hour variable day and night shifts: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• Post Surgical Care Unit providing care for pre and post-surgical adult and geriatric patients on a 40-bed inpatient unit
• Nurse to patient ratio: 1:4 or 1:5 on days/evenings and 1:5 to 1:7 on nights
• Fast-paced unit averaging 10-15 admissions per day with 90-95% occupancy during the week and average length of stay of 2-3 days
• Must have ability to multitask, prioritize patient care based on acuity, and work as part of a team
• Minimum 2+ years of Med Surg experience required with recent hospital experience
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Prior travel experience required
• Epic EMR charting experience required
• Equipment used includes Epic EMR, Rovers for medication scanning, and Alaris pumps
• Required certifications: WI RN License and BLS (AHA or ARC)
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Any color scrubs permitted

This facility is a level II trauma hospital offering comprehensive inpatient care across a wide range of specialties. The Post Surgical Care Unit is a 40-bed inpatient area that supports patients along a continuum of pre and post-surgical care following PACU recovery. The facility maintains high occupancy rates and a fast-paced environment, supporting both adult and geriatric patient populations with a strong emphasis on team-based, acuity-driven nursing care.
