Job Summary:
A Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical Floor care is needed at a healthcare organization in Marquette, Michigan. This position involves working on a 24-bed unit that manages trauma, orthopedic, neurological, and general pediatric cases across all ages over 28 days. The RN will deliver patient care according to clinical protocols and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

• Location: Marquette, MI
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, BLS certification, PALS certification (preferred). Minimum of 2+ years of experience in acute care, particularly in adult and pediatric trauma, orthopedic, and neuro cases.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems, previous trauma or neuro unit experience, and strong teamwork skills.
• Unit Information:
  • Number of beds: 24
  • Patient ratios: 1:6
  • Inpatient units requiring float coverage
  • Equipment: EHR transition from Paragon to Cerner scheduled for 03/01/2024
• Additional Notes: The RN will support trauma, post-orthopedic, neuro, and general pediatric patients across different age groups. Candidates must be adaptable, collaborative, and able to provide high-quality patient care.
