Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (18:45-07:15), 36-48 hours per week. Every other weekend required. 13-week assignment or longer available.

Highlights:

• Dynamic GI/Medical-Surgical unit with 10 telemetry beds for cardiac rhythm monitoring
• Target nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6 (may flex to 1:7 based on staffing needs)
• Diverse patient population including GI conditions, blood loss/anemia, infections, renal patients, and post-surgical GI patients
• Fast-paced environment with approximately one-third of beds turning over daily
• Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• 36-hour paid orientation with EKG testing required prior to start

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience required
• Must have successfully completed at least 2 travel assignments (first-time travelers will not be considered due to unit complexity)
• Current RN license (North Carolina or Compact state)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS preferred
• Telemetry experience strongly preferred
• Proficiency in IV starts, central line care, blood product administration, and interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred
• Must be willing to float to other medical-surgical units as needed
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
