Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour day shifts (6:45 AM - 7:15 PM), 36 or 48 hours per week available. Block scheduling options available (Friday/Saturday/Sunday or Saturday/Sunday/Monday). Every other weekend required. Assignment length of 13 weeks or longer available.

Highlights:

• Fast-paced orthopedic and neuro spine unit specializing in post-surgical care and pain management
• Patient ratio of 5-6:1, with potential flex to 7:1 in extreme circumstances
• Epic EMR system required; unit accepts first-time travelers with Epic experience
• 39-bed unit with average daily census of 37 patients including orthopedic, neuro spine, medical-surgical, and post-surgical populations
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Up to 7 days of requested time off available (excluding holidays); orientation includes 36 hours

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with orthopedic experience required
• Active North Carolina or Compact RN license
• Epic charting system experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, NIH Stroke Scale
• Required skills: IV start and maintenance, telemetry monitoring and interpretation, EKG competency (testing required prior to start)
• Must be open to floating to other medical-surgical units within the facility based on staffing needs
• Preferred: ACLS certification, charge nurse experience, Level I trauma experience
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
