Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (18:45-07:15), 36-48 hours per week; every other weekend required

Highlights:

• Dynamic Medical-Surgical unit with 10 telemetry beds for cardiac rhythm monitoring
• Diverse patient population including GI conditions, surgical recovery, renal patients, and cardiac monitoring
• Target nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6 (may occasionally be 1:7 based on staffing needs)
• Fast-paced environment with high patient turnover (approximately one-third of beds daily)
• Epic charting system with Pyxis medication management and SBAR communication
• 36-hour orientation period with comprehensive support from interdisciplinary teams
• Contract length of 13 weeks or longer through February 27, 2027

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience required
• Must have successfully completed at least 2 prior travel assignments (first-time travelers not accepted due to unit complexity)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Proficiency in IV starts and interpretation of cardiac dysrhythmias
• Experience with telemetry monitoring preferred
• North Carolina or Compact state nursing license
• Willingness to float to other medical-surgical units as needed
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
