Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift hospital position requiring DC licensure and at least 1 year of med tele acute care experience.

Details

• Work in the Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit of a hospital environment
• 16-patient unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6
• Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts per week
• Cerner EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active RN license in DC required prior to start
• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program
• BSN highly desired
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA only)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Minimum 1 year of Med Tele acute care inpatient experience required
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Must complete a Telemetry rhythm interpretation test prior to start
• Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying most recent experience within the last 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer

Additional Information

• Deliver competent, capable, and efficient patient care across the lifespan with age-appropriate interventions
• Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments, including review of systems, with appropriate documentation
• Complete admission assessments within established policy timeframes
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
