Description:
This position requires a registered nurse to work in a medical-surgical and telemetry unit.
The nurse will be responsible for caring for adult and geriatric patients with cardiac disease and stroke.
Candidates will be reviewed by clinical staff to determine clinical fit.
If the candidate passes the clinical review, they will proceed to an interview with the hiring manager.
The schedule requires night shifts, with three 12-hour shifts per week and weekends as needed.
The candidate may float between different medical-surgical floors and potentially to other units as needed.
The team collaborates closely with various coordinators to provide high-quality patient education.
The nurse will care for patients with various conditions, including CHF exacerbations and respiratory illnesses.
COVID patient care may be required.
The facility maintains a tobacco and fragrance-free environment.
Candidates must complete required training and pass competency assessments.
All registered nurses in this unit will hold Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification and Stroke certification.
Experience with telemetry and managing high-acuity patients is essential.
The unit also accommodates acute cardiac events requiring medication management and patient monitoring.
Candidates are expected to provide excellent patient care and work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.
