Description:
A Night Shift Registered Nurse is needed for the Medical Surgical/Telemetry specialty.
Candidates will work three 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
Weekends are likely every other weekend.
Candidates will be reviewed by clinical staff to determine clinical fit.
If the candidate passes the clinical review, they will be sent to the manager for a final decision.
The candidate may be required to float to all medical surgical floors and potentially to rehabilitation units.
Floating may also involve assisting in labor and delivery as needed.
This unit cares for patients with cardiac disease and stroke, as well as stable open-heart surgery patients.
There is a focus on providing high-quality education for patients dealing with heart failure and stroke recovery.
All registered nurses must be certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and be up to date with stroke care training.
Candidates must be comfortable caring for COVID patients.
The facility is tobacco and fragrance-free.
The registered nurse will be responsible for providing care for complex patient needs, including those with acute cardiac events.
The unit accommodates patients requiring continuous intravenous medication drips and pre-and post-operative care for cardiac procedures.
Candidates will also support patients pre-and post-electrophysiology studies, cardiac catheterizations, and pacemaker insertions.
This is a high acuity nursing position requiring advanced nursing skills.
Candidates must be prepared to care for patients of various ages, primarily adults and geriatrics.
Staff may be involved in interdisciplinary support with physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services.
Patient diagnoses may include stroke, respiratory illness, and general surgical recovery.
