This is a high-acuity environment focusing on Med Surge and respiratory care. Common patient diagnoses include pneumonia, COPD exacerbation, GI bleed, osteomyelitis, diabetic foot infections, hepatic encephalopathy, renal failure, bowel obstruction, end-of-life care, and wound management. Ratios may be 1:5, sometimes 1:6. Travelers may be requested to float to other nearby facilities. Dysrhythmia exam will be required during onboarding with a preferred score of 80%.
