Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med-Surg/Telemetry Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: 2 Years Required, Travel Experience Required License: Compact or State License in Hand Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - EPIC Proficient - IV Start, Telemetry Interpretation Description: We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse specializing in Med-Surg/Telemetry. The position requires a nurse who is proficient with EPIC software and comes with experience caring for a variety of medical and surgical patients. The nurse will work in a setting with 1:7 patient ratios, which requires strong management skills. Candidates should have a solid background in telemetry interpretation, IV starts, and the ability to manage cardiac telemetry patients. The unit serves a diverse patient population, often caring for individuals with chronic conditions such as CHF, COPD, and diabetes. Special procedures include blood administration, central line management, and wound care. The nurse should be comfortable working in a team composed of various interdisciplinary support staff. Compliance with safety protocols, including isolation precautions and the use of personal protective equipment, is essential. A focus on patient-centered care and effective communication with patients and their families is critical for success in this role. Candidates should have experience with patient management, including handling acute changes in patient conditions.
