Travel Nurse RN - Med/Surg / Telemetry - $2,624 per week in Winston Salem, NC

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 36 or 48 hours per week. Every other weekend required. Floating to other Med/Surg and Telemetry areas as needed.

Highlights:

• Primary neuroscience unit specializing in stroke care, seizure disorders, traumatic brain injuries, subdural hematomas, and various neurological diagnoses
• Patient ratio of 1:6 with a daily census of approximately 50 patients
• Epic EMR system with support from IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and multidisciplinary staff
• Contract lengths available for 13-26 weeks with comprehensive 36-hour orientation
• Unit includes a specialized 4-bed Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) for intermediate-level care
• Experience with interpretation and management of cardiac dysrhythmias required

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year of direct Medical/Surgical experience (required)
• Previous travel nursing experience required – must have completed at least 2 successful travel contracts
• Active RN license (NC or Compact state license accepted)
• Certifications: BLS (required), NIH Stroke Scale/NIHSS (required), ACLS (preferred)
• Proficiency in IV starts, telemetry monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with neurological patient populations including stroke, seizures, and traumatic brain injuries
• Epic charting system experience required
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Flexibility to float to other Med/Surg/Telemetry areas and potential COVID care units
• Willingness to work every other weekend and make up any missed shifts
