Travel Nurse RN - Med/Surg / Telemetry in Greenwood Village, CO

Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical / Telemetry Float

Location

Denver Metro Area, Colorado (Float Zone – multiple facilities within approximately 60-mile radius of Denver city center, including Lakewood, Longmont, and Westminster, CO)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | Float Pool Assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care across Medical Surgical and Telemetry units, floating throughout an assigned zone of facilities within a 60-mile radius of Denver
• Care for adult and geriatric populations with diagnoses including cardiac, neurological, orthopedic, oncology, renal, urology, general surgery, gynecology, and general medicine conditions
• Titrate Heparin drips and manage patients requiring RT equipment including vents, CPAP, and BiPAP as needed
• Adapt to flexible scheduling formats, including set weekly facility assignments or just-in-time (JIT) facility notification 1–2 hours prior to shift start
• Float within acuity levels as needed, including ICU (low-acuity holds), PCU/Stepdown, and MS-Tele units
• Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5–6 based on acuity, working alongside designated charge nurses and nurse aides

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in the state of Colorado (or compact eligibility)
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Ability to float throughout the full 60-mile zone radius; candidate must reside or obtain housing that makes floating to all zone facilities feasible
• Must be physically present in-state for the week of orientation, even if initial modules are completed remotely
• Valid driver's license required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a neurological nursing setting
• Experience working in a float pool or multi-facility travel assignment
• Familiarity with specialty populations including cardiac, oncology, rehab, bariatrics, ortho, and trauma
