Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: MICU Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Current RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Required certifications in BLS, ACLS, NIHSS - Experience with Epic charting system Description: ICU Registered Nurse position available. Must have RN license in hand for auto offer. Assignment length is 13 weeks. Shift schedule is 3x12 nights. First-time travelers are not accepted. Candidates may float to other like units as needed. Weekend coverage is required. All requests for time off must be included during submission. Facility is a Magnet facility and Level II Trauma center. Daily patient census is around 21. Numerous interdisciplinary support services are available. Patient demographics include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Common patient diagnoses include medical cardiac, surgical cardiac, neuro interventions, strokes, sepsis, respiratory failure, trauma, and spinal cord injuries. Nurses will manage patients with complex needs such as chronic and acute renal failure, ventilated patients, and post-surgical recovery. Skills required include management of arterial lines, central lines, PICC lines, and care for patients requiring CPAP or BiPAP. Staffing ratios are approximately 2 patients per nurse for days and nights. Nurses will participate in special procedures and skillfully operate various types of medical equipment. Candidates must be willing to work two of the three major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year. References are required from recent clinical experience. Travelers are limited to working one calendar year at this facility, followed by a 6-month break before returning. Housing options should be explored as availability may vary. Modules will be completed pre-start and annually as per the compliance process.
