Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Inpatient Surgical (MedSurg) Duration: 17 Weeks Shift: 12H Days Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS (AHA), NIHSS Must-Have: C-section experience required Description: Strict 75 Mile Radius Rule applies. Must have 2 years of experience and 1 travel assignment. Experience with electronic medical records is required. Nurse-patient ratio is generally 1:6. CNA support is available, generally with a ratio of 1:8 to 1:10. On-call duty is required, but is low in census. Holidays are rotated with permanent staff. Scrub color is Caribbean Blue. Patients are monitored on different units for telemetry. Ventilator support includes BIPAP and CPAP. An OB/Neonatologist is available in-house. An IV team is not available; however, there is 24/7 PICC access. Pharmacy services are available 24/7. Shifts typically run from 0645 with 12-hour scheduling. Must be flexible with changing assignments during the shift. Common diagnoses include a variety from other areas. Floating is required to other specialties as needed. Floor-specific orientation is provided. Charting system utilized is MEDITECH.
