Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical and post-operative care. Must have completed at least one travel contract. License: Current nursing license required. Certifications: ACLS certification required. Must-Have: Post-operative experience is required. Acute care experience is required. Experience in caring for patients with gastrointestinal issues is preferred. Description: This position is for a registered nurse in a medical surgical setting. The role specializes in post-operative gastrointestinal and wound care. Travelers must be prepared for emergency assignments as per unit manager directives. Familiarity with a variety of post-operative patient diagnoses is essential. Skills in managing surgical drains and wound care are preferred. Patients may include those recovering from procedures such as pancreatectomy and colectomy. Experience with specialized equipment for patient care is also necessary. Interdisciplinary support services will be available. The unit may experience a variety of patient volumes which can affect scheduling. Only candidates with relevant experience will be considered for this position. Travel experience is required. Must be comfortable working with a diverse patient population.
