Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty License: Compact or state license required Certifications: - BLS - ACLS - CPI (if applicable) - NIHSS (if applicable) Must-Have: - Telemetry interpretation and management of dysrhythmias - Post angiogram, MI, cardiac catheterization, and sheath removal care - Management of cardiac drips and vasoactive drips - Blood product administration - Central line, peripheral line, and PICC line care/management - Isolation precautions and wound care/management Description: The registered nurse will work in a medical-surgical/telemetry setting. Patient diagnoses include chest pain, coronary artery disease, peripheral vascular disease, arrhythmias, diabetes mellitus, COPD exacerbation, pneumonia, hypertension, myocardial infarction, renal failure, pulmonary embolism, congestive heart failure, gastrointestinal bleed, and syncope.
