Travel Nurse RN - Medical-Surgical - $2,308 per week in Peoria, IL

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 1 year License: Active state nursing license required Certifications: BLS Must-Have: General medical experience; Strong teamwork and communication skills Description: Unit has 20 beds and a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5/6 on night shifts. Team includes a charge nurse available 24 hours. If short-staffed, the charge nurse may take a patient assignment. House supervisor is also available 24/7. Patient care techs are present 24 hours a day, with a ratio of 1:10 on nights. Equipment in use does not include vents. Patients may be on telemetry with central monitoring. Bedside nurses do not read strips; instead, there are dedicated monitor techs. Shifts are 12 hours in length, with a requirement for every other weekend. Three of six major holidays must be worked throughout the year. Floating may be required as per staffing needs. No specific dress code for scrubs or uniforms is enforced. Unit-specific orientation will be provided.
