Travel Nurse RN - Medical-Surgical - $2,317 per week in Redding, CA

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Days Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in specialty and prior travel experience required License: Active Nursing License required Certifications: BLS Certification, COVID Vaccine Required Must-Have: Must have 2-3 years of experience in specialty. Must have prior travel experience. Must be a team player. Description: Unit has 30 beds. Holiday requests will be considered, but cannot be guaranteed. Ratios are 1 nurse to 5 patients. Charge Nurse will perform break relief and will not take patient assignments. There are 2 nurse aides on days and 1 on nights. Weekend requirement is 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule. Holidays will be worked into permanent staff rotation. Nurses are required to read and interpret telemetry, and must pass a dysrhythmia exam. There are no ventilators on the unit. Clientist services are available 24/7. IV Team is available. Pharmacy services are available 24/7. Shifts are 12 hours, from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM. Floating may involve a 1:4 telemetry ratio and could include floating between medical surgical floors. Floor-specific orientation will occur on one shift in the unit. Common diagnoses include medical patients and post-operative/surgical patient population. Cancellation policy allows for the hospital to cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment.
