Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) | Every Other Weekend Required | Holidays As Needed
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 44-bed Medical Surgical unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5, occasionally 1:6
- Monitor telemetry patients in coordination with a separate telemetry monitoring unit
- Float as needed to acute care, cardiology, and the emergency department for acute care patient holds
- Collaborate with CNA support staff and utilize nurse aides, including sitter assignments as needed
- Document and manage patient care using Meditech EMR
- Participate in a one-week general orientation (including EMR training) and two days of floor-specific orientation
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in good standing
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical nursing
- At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment
- BLS certification (American Heart Association required)
- NIHSS certification (American Heart Association required)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Meditech EMR
- Familiarity with telemetry monitoring in a Medical Surgical setting
- Experience floating across acute care and cardiology units
