Contract | Travel | Full-Time | Days 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | 13-Week Assignment | Onsite | Weekends may be required
Key Responsibilities
Provides routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
Administers medications and treatments per appropriate protocol; monitors for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatments
Addresses psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with level of practice
Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately and thoroughly
Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers; identifies issues and available resources
Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers as needed to manage the clinical situation
Required Qualifications
Active RN license in the state of employment or a valid compact nursing license
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Minimum 1 year of experience in a Medical/Surgical nursing specialty
Ability to care for post-surgical patients including orthopedic, general surgery, and neuro populations
Willingness to float to other units as needed
Preferred Experience / Skills
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Experience with EPIC electronic health records system
Familiarity with neuro and orthopedic post-surgical patient populations
