Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical (Travel Contract)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 Hours Guaranteed Per Week | Rotating Weekends | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Med/Surg unit serving adult and geriatric populations
• Manage a patient ratio of 1:6 in an 18-bed unit setting
• Document accurately and efficiently using Meditech EHR
• Float to other units as required based on staffing needs
• Participate in rotating weekend coverage with no on-call requirements
• Attend weekly Monday orientation sessions as scheduled

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience (5 years strongly preferred)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Proficiency or ability to quickly adapt to Meditech EHR
• Willingness to float to other units as needed

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 5 or more years of Med/Surg experience in an acute care setting
• Experience working with adult and geriatric patient populations
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned responsibilities
