Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Full-Time | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Onsite | Projected Start: 10/05/2026
Key Responsibilities
Provides routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with scope of practice
Administers medications and treatments per appropriate protocol; monitors for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatments
Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately and in a timely manner
Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers; identifies issues and available resources
Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers as needed to manage clinical situations; may float to all Medical/Surgical departments as required
Required Qualifications
Active RN license in state of employment or valid compact license
BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Medical/Surgical nursing setting
Ability to fulfill weekend requirement: expected 2–4 shifts per month, rotated among staff
Ability to fulfill on-call requirement: expected 2–4 shifts per month, rotated among staff
Willingness to float to all Medical/Surgical departments as needed
Preferred Experience / Skills
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Experience with EPIC EMR
Familiarity with a 1:5–6 nurse-to-patient ratio environment
