Job Description

Job Opportunity – NICU Registered Nurse – Dallas, Texas

Start Date: September 15, 2026

Location: Dallas, Texas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week, rotating weekends and holidays. Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:4 depending on acuity.

Highlights:

  • 108-bed Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit providing comprehensive critical care to premature and medically complex infants
  • Advanced neonatal technology including ventilators, oscillators, CPAP, NIRS monitoring, isolettes, and specialized IV pump systems
  • Exposure to complex surgical cases including PDA ligations, gastroschisis reductions, exploratory laparotomies, central line insertions, and circumcisions
  • Multidisciplinary team environment with RNs, LVNs, PCTs, and Nurse Externs supporting collaborative patient care
  • Documentation systems include CPN and Meditech for streamlined charting and care coordination
  • Opportunity to care for cardiac patients, surgical neonates, premature infants as young as 27 weeks gestation, and tracheostomy-dependent infants

Requirements:

  • Active RN license in the state of Texas or compact state eligibility
  • Minimum 1 year of Level III NICU experience required
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certifications
  • Experience managing premature infants (28 weeks gestation and above)
  • Competency in central line management and respiratory support, including care of intubated neonates
  • Strong clinical skills with surgical patients, cardiac patients, tracheostomy care, and Broviac catheter management preferred
