Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2+ years of current Level III or Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience License: Active Texas or Compact RN license Certifications: Active AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Active Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification Must-Have: - Must have sufficient HIE, surfactant administration, and PICC line experience - Must disclose any previous employment history in profile - EPIC experience Description: The RN is a licensed professional who coordinates patient care delivery. This role focuses on a particular patient population and specific health conditions. Using the nursing process, the RN assesses patients and identifies nursing diagnoses. The RN develops and implements individualized plans of care. The RN evaluates the patient's response to care and utilizes knowledge of patient needs. This role assists patients in transitioning through healthcare encounters without preventable complications. The RN delegates interventions based on the nursing practice act and each patient's condition.
