Position Overview
Join a specialized NICU team providing critical care to newborns and premature infants. This role is ideal for experienced NICU nurses who thrive in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment and are passionate about neonatal care.
Job Details
- Shift: 12-hour Nights (6 PM – 6 AM)
- Schedule: Every Other Weekend (EOW)
- Contract Length: 13 Weeks (extension possible)
- Floating: May be required within scope
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct care to neonates in intensive care
- Monitor and manage ventilators, CPAP, and incubators
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and TPN
- Respond to neonatal emergencies and resuscitation
- Collaborate with neonatologists and multidisciplinary teams
- Educate and support families during NICU stay
- Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems
- Follow strict infection control and safety protocols
Requirements
- Active RN License (UT or Compact) – Required
- BLS Certification – Required
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) – Required
- STABLE Certification – Required
- Minimum 1–2 years of NICU experience
