Travel RN – NICU (Nights)
Location

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Full-Time | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | 3 x 12-hour shifts per week, rotating weekends and holidays
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to NICU patients in a 108-bed unit, maintaining patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:4
Manage respiratory support including nasal cannula, bubble CPAP, mechanical ventilators, and oscillators for patients up to and including intubated status
Operate and monitor specialized NICU equipment including IV pumps, NIRS, warmers, and isolettes
Assist with and support unit procedures including central line insertions, circumcisions, exploratory laps, gastroschisis reductions, and PDA ligations
Document patient care accurately using CPN and Meditech electronic documentation systems
Float as needed to related pediatric areas including PICU, Pediatrics, and CICU, providing care for patients under 2 years of age
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Minimum 1 year of Level III NICU experience
Experience caring for premature infants 28 weeks gestational age and above
Demonstrated competency in central line management
Respiratory management experience up to and including intubated patients
Current BLS and NRP certifications
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience with surgical patients including cardiac patients and infants under 27 weeks gestational age
Experience caring for tracheostomy-dependent infants
Familiarity with Broviac catheter care and management
