Travel Registered Nurse - Acute Neuro
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Travel Registered Nurse to join an Acute Neuro Unit in Atlanta, Georgia. This vital role involves staffing 7 additional overflow beds within a specialized neurological unit, providing comprehensive care to patients with various neurological conditions.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered nursing care, conducting thorough neurological assessments, administering medications, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, supporting critical patient needs.
This is a travel assignment, and candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including comprehensive neurological assessments, monitoring, and interventions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
- Monitor and interpret vital signs, neurological status, and other physiological data, reporting changes promptly.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Educate patients and their families on disease processes, treatment plans, and self-care techniques.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities and responses.
- Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes.
- Respond to emergent situations and provide appropriate interventions.
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia (or compact state license with eligibility for GA endorsement).
- Minimum of two (2) years of recent, acute care experience within a Neuro or Med-Surg unit with a strong neurological patient focus.
- Ability to commit to a 13-week travel assignment.
- Residency outside a 50-mile radius of Atlanta, Georgia.
