Travel Nurse RN - Neuro ICU - $1,912 per week in Winston Salem, NC

Job Opportunity – Neuro Intensive Care Unit RN – North Carolina

Start Date: September 28, 2026

Location: North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, every other weekend required, per unit needs (block scheduling not available)

Highlights:

• 26-bed Neuroscience and Surgical ICU within a comprehensive stroke center
• Staffing ratios typically 2:1, occasionally 3:1 or 1:1 based on acuity
• Advanced neuro critical care experience with stroke management, ICP monitoring, seizure management, and invasive equipment
• EMR: Epic; medication system: Pyxis
• Contract length: 13 weeks or longer, through February 27 end date
• 24-hour orientation provided; float to other ICUs and intermediate units as needed

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be accepted
• Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state)
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale
• Proficiency in ICP monitoring, ventilator management, telemetry, EVD management, arterial line management, vasoactive drip titration, and critical care procedures
• Experience with stroke patients, traumatic brain injury, post-neurosurgery care, and neurological critical care
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
