Job Summary: The organization is seeking an ICU Neuro (Intensive Care Unit Neurological) specialist for a short-term assignment. The position involves providing advanced neurological critical care for a busy Level II Trauma Center's intensive care unit, with responsibilities including managing a wide range of neurological and trauma-related patient conditions.
Job Details:
Certifications, Education, and Experience: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications are required. Candidates must have recent Epic electronic health record experience and a minimum of one year of ICU experience; two years preferred. Active Washington state licensure or licensure eligibility is required.
Shift Details: Days, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week, starting October 12, 2026, and ending January 11, 2027.
Responsibilities: Managing patients with neurological trauma or conditions, including intracranial pressure monitoring, managing blood pressure with vasoactive agents, and performing complex neurological assessments. The role entails floating within scope to various units including CVICU, NTICU, and others, with a flexible schedule based on unit needs.
Float Requirements: Float rotation may be required, with orientation provided in 4-hour segments, and candidates must be flexible to work various units and participate in scheduled rotations.
Additional Information: The ICU cares for diverse patient populations, including post-surgical neuro-critical care, trauma, and vascular cases. Candidates must be willing to provide coverage for emergency procedures like chest tube insertions, central line placements, and manage complex neurological equipment and protocols.
