Skills required: interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, multi-system organ failure management, IV insulin protocols, arterial line management, blood product administration, central line and PICC line care, IV initiation and maintenance, continuous IV sedation, emergency medication administration, cardiac and vasoactive drip titration, BiPAP/CPAP management, ventilator management, high flow nasal cannula use, ABG interpretation, ETT/NT suctioning, infection prevention and isolation precautions, phlebotomy, and surgical wound/drain or wound vac care. Provide critical care nursing to patients with conditions including open heart surgery, MI, post cardiac arrest, post-surgical care (Whipple, liver resection, amputations, cardiac surgery), respiratory distress, DKA, sepsis, GI bleed, overdose, and trauma.
