Job Summary
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse opportunity in Reston, Virginia. This position involves providing specialized care to neonatal patients in a 16-bed unit within a hospital setting, supporting a family-centered, caring, and flexible environment. The role requires adapting to the unit's protocols and working collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality neonatal care.

Job Details

  • Location: Reston, VA
  • Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, BLS (Basic Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program); no minimum experience required
  • Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with additional skills such as STABLE certification are preferred and will be considered first
  • Unit Information: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit with 16 beds, staffed by approximately 35 team members, including day and night shifts with charge nurses; typical procedures include intubation, umbilical line placement, PICC placement, lumbar punctures, and X-rays
  • Personality Fit: Family-centered, caring, flexible
  • Float: Float rotation may be required when applicable
  • Additional Information: Full-time schedule includes five weekend shifts in a four-week cycle; no mandatory on-call responsibilities are required
