Travel Nurse RN - Nursery - $2,988 per week in Concord, NH

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Neonatal Intensive Care Duration: Traveler Shift: 7p-730a Hours per Shift: 12.5 Experience: 3-4 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in NICU or Special Care Nursery. License: Active Registered Nurse license required. Certifications: BLS required; NRP preferred. Must-Have: - Previous NICU or Level 2 Special Care Nursery experience required. - Comfortable assisting in deliveries, starting neonate IVs, managing babies on C-PAP, and tube feedings. Description: The position involves providing care to neonates in need of special care. The special care nursery is integrated with the labor and delivery unit. All RNs are trained for postpartum care and either special care nursery or labor and delivery. Staffing consists of 8-9 RNs with 2 RNs trained for the special care nursery. The special care nursery cares for neonates starting from 32 weeks and above. Nurses attend deliveries of vaginal births and cesarean sections. Grower feeders are also included as patients in the special care nursery. Surfactant is administered via LMA to appropriate candidates. The average census in the nursery is typically 2-5 neonates. Postpartum experience is preferred but is not absolutely required for travelers. Nurses should be prepared to assist with managing withdrawal from substance abuse as needed.
