Medical Surgical Oncology Floor Nurse position is available at a healthcare provider in Dallas, Texas. The role involves providing specialized nursing care on a dedicated oncology unit, following established protocols and ensuring patient safety. This position is suitable for experienced nurses with a background in medical-surgical oncology care.

- Required Qualifications: Valid BLS and ACLS certifications; 2 years of experience in relevant clinical settings; ability to understand sterile dressing changes, infection prevention, blood and electrolyte replacement processes; candidates with general medical oncology knowledge and familiarity with ports and central lines will be prioritized.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with ports and central lines; familiarity with blood and electrolyte processes is desirable.
- Additional Information: The unit has 41 beds, with staffing including one charge nurse and up to five registered nurses and two patient care technicians per floor during the day shift. Patient ratios are estimated at 4:1, with a maximum of 5:1. Equipment includes Baxter pumps, and electronic medical records are maintained with Meditech. The team-centered personality fit is essential. The dress code requires royal blue scrubs monogrammed with the hospital name, along with hospital-approved jackets. This role involves rotating weekends and on-call shifts.
