Travel Nurse RN - Oncology - $2,126 per week in Washington, DC

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Oncology Chemo Certified Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night and Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required. Must have one previous travel assignment or one month of per diem experience. License: Must have a valid license prior to start date. Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) ONS Chemotherapy Certification Must-Have: Experience administering chemotherapy. Experience in telemetry. Experience with IV starts. BMT experience is required. Ability to manage and interpret dysrhythmias. Description: The position is for a nurse specialized in hematology/oncology and blood and marrow transplant. The nurse will rotate between day and night shifts. Shifts will include working every other weekend. There is a patient ratio of 1:4-5. Required qualifications include administering chemotherapy and ONS certification. Experience in hematology-oncology and BMT is essential. Strong medical-surgical experience will also be considered. The nurse will be required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity. All employees must receive the flu vaccine. Candidates must provide two supervisory references that support their experience. No time off is permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment. Overall compliance and completion of required modules is mandatory. Candidates should plan ahead to avoid scheduling conflicts.
