Travel Nurse RN - Oncology - $2,252 per week in Seattle, WA

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Oncology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Active nursing license required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Oncology and surgical experience is required. Experience in acute care medical/surgical oncology inpatient care is preferred. Ability to provide care including aggressive curative therapy, symptom management, ostomy, and palliative care. Description: This position requires the delivery of skilled nursing care to patients undergoing surgery, chemotherapy, and biological therapies. Registered Nurses will manage a 28-bed acute care oncology inpatient unit. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:4. Staff may be required to float to other acute care units within their scope. Weekend coverage may be required on an as-needed basis. Candidates should have experience with accessing and managing ports and administering blood products. Skills in care coordination and patient/family education and support are essential. Successful candidates will possess knowledge of care for various types of cancers. Experience with symptom management and post-surgical care is necessary. Travelers will not administer chemotherapy and do not need to be chemo certified.
