DAY-SHIFT MED SURG ONCOLOGY RN CONTRACT – UPSTATE NEW YORK ACUTE CARE CENTER

 

First Connect Health has an immediate 13-week travel contract opening for a skilled Medical-Surgical Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) in Johnson City, New York. Operating within the Med Surg MT5 Oncology department at a leading regional medical center, this position offers a structured 3x12 daytime schedule. If you are an experienced oncology or medical-surgical telemetry nurse looking to secure a solid East Coast pay package with tax-free stipends and manage specialized medical and oncology care, this contract is built for you!

 

PRE-CALCULATED PAY PACKAGE

  • Weekly Gross: $2,621.00
  • Weekly Tax-Free Stipend: $1,325.00
  • Hourly W2 Rate: $36.00/hr
  • Overtime Rate: $42.00/hr

SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS

  • Schedule: Day shifts, 3x12-Hours (07:00 AM - 19:00 PM). Block scheduling configurations are not available.
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 regular hours guaranteed weekly.
  • Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend (EOW) coverage expectation.
  • On-Call Requirements: Completely free from standard mandatory on-call standby commitments.
  • Clinical Scope & Unit Profiling: Dedicated adult Medical-Surgical Oncology unit. Core duties include comprehensive nursing assessment, medication management, disease education, and interdisciplinary care planning.
  • EMR Charting System: Epic.

REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUBMISSION

  • Experience: Clinical nursing experience in a Medical-Surgical / Telemetry or Oncology setting. Direct chemotherapy administration experience is highly preferred, but not strictly required.
  • Licensure: Valid New York State (NYS) RN License must be active and in-hand at the time of submission.
  • Certifications Required: Current ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Basic Life Support (BLS - AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross) credentials are mandatory.
