Registered Nurse (RN) – Oncology

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift | Work Week: Wednesday–Tuesday
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate patient care delivery for oncology patient populations using the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care based on identified nursing diagnoses and patient responses to health problems
- Utilize knowledge of patient needs and the healthcare environment to facilitate safe transitions through the healthcare encounter, minimizing preventable complications or delays
- Administer chemotherapy and biotherapy infusions in accordance with established protocols and safety standards
- Delegate interventions to healthcare personnel in accordance with the Texas Nursing Practice Act, patient condition, and staff competencies
Required Qualifications- Minimum 5 years of current, hands-on Oncology RN experience
- Active Texas RN license or active Compact RN license
- Active American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Active ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate
- Experience with EPIC Beacon and Chemotherapy Infusion
- Oncology-specific skills checklist, resume, and two supervisory references from within the last year required at time of submission
Preferred Experience / Skills- Broad experience across multiple oncology sub-specialties or patient populations
- Familiarity with public health system environments and health equity-focused care delivery
