Contract | Days (3x12 Hours, 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) | Onsite | Every other weekend coverage required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to a Hematology, Medical Oncology, Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT), and Gynecologic & Surgical Oncology population
• Manage care within a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio, including patients in a 7-bed positive pressure wing for BMT and acute leukemia
• Assist with and support bedside CVC placements and bone marrow biopsies
• Administer medications using barcode medication administration and Alaris IV pumps integrated with Epic
• Operate unit equipment including Alaris feeding pumps and SCD machines
• Float to other units as required per facility guidelines

Required Qualifications

• Active Compact or Louisiana RN license in hand at time of submittal
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Oncology or related specialty
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA required)
• Proficiency with Epic EMR
• NURSYS report for RN license, current within 4 weeks of submission date
• Two Manager or Supervisor references required prior to start (Charge RN references not accepted); references must be submitted in PDF format

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ONS (Oncology Nursing Society) certification
• Prior travel nursing experience, though first-time travelers are welcome
