Travel RN – Oncology (Nights)

Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 36 or 48 Hours Per Week | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
Utilize the nursing process to perform assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care for all age groups, including oncology, neuro overflow, medical, and end-of-life patients
Administer medications accurately and document care using an electronic medical record system
Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient outcomes and comfort
Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers and maintain professional accountability
Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information in accordance with applicable standards and regulations
Float to other units within the med/surg service line as needed
Required Qualifications
Current RN license — must meet eligibility criteria for licensure in the state of Missouri or currently hold Missouri licensure
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
Minimum 1 year of inpatient Oncology experience
Proficiency in medication administration, EMR documentation, and physical assessment
Flu vaccination (or facility-approved exemption) required November 1 through April 1; declinations are not accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
ONS Chemotherapy Certification
Experience with Alaris pumps, NOVA glucometers, remote telemetry, and EPIC EMR
Team-oriented, reliable, and flexible personality well-suited to a fast-paced oncology environment
