Travel Nurse RN - Operating Room - $2,006 per week in Washington, DC

Job Title: Operating Room Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 9 weeks Shift: 12-hour Day Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of acute care operating room experience required License: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state required Certifications: PALS, BLS, ACLS required Must-Have: Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required; BSN highly desired Description: The operating room nurse is responsible for scrubbing and/or circulating duties for operative procedures. Department admissions to the operative suite are managed by the operating room nurse. Adheres to standards and appropriate aseptic techniques. Consults and coordinates with team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate intraoperative patient care plans. Serves as a communication liaison to patients, families, and members of the operating team. Prepares the operating room for the patient and surgical procedure. Assembles equipment and supplies, ensuring equipment is functional and supplies/implants are available.
