Travel Nurse RN - Operating Room - $2,244 per week in Washington, DC

Job Title: Operating Room Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10-hour Day Shift Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: 2 years of acute care operating room experience required License: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state required Certifications: PALS, BLS, and ACLS required Must-Have: Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required; BSN highly desired Description: The operating room nurse is responsible for scrubbing and/or circulating duties for operative procedures. They oversee department admissions to the operative suite. They adhere to standards and appropriate aseptic techniques. They consult and coordinate with team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate intraoperative patient care plans. They serve as a communication liaison to patients, families, and members of the operating team. They prepare the operating room for the patient and surgical procedure. They assemble equipment and supplies, ensuring that equipment is functional and supplies/implants are available.
