Key Responsibilities
Provides individualized, holistic, and age-specific patient and family care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Develops and adapts comprehensive, culturally appropriate plans of care in collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Serves as a patient and family advocate, encouraging participation in decision-making and upholding individual and family rights.
Identifies and responds to patient and family educational needs through individualized education planning and adult-learning principles.
Delegates and assigns care to other healthcare team members within their scope of practice and competency.
Communicates and coordinates with healthcare team members and ancillary staff to expedite patient progress and workflow.
Required Qualifications
Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required prior to start.
Minimum of three years of recent experience working in an RN role.
Minimum of two years of recent experience in a specialty area.
OB/GYN and Labor & Delivery experience required, including women's procedures, C-sections, and hysterectomy.
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience working in a registry or per diem RN capacity.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex, high-risk, or unusual clinical situations and seek appropriate resources.
